Just after i wrote the previous post, my landline phone rang. I figured "Damn, its my brother's girlfriend again!" Then a smooth, silky voice sounded a big ring on my ears, "hello, is Mr. Kirby there?". . . I thought it was a prank call and i had the notion that it was just another guy friend trying to make fun of me. But it wasnt! It was Erin from ClickBooth.com verifying my membership. She was nice and soft-spoken. Me and my dirty thoughts!
I forgot to mention on my posts that I signed up for ClickBooth just 2 days ago. Its an ad provider that offers one of the Highest Paying programs on the internet. I remembered indicating my landline number on the registration form. Never thought in my wildest dream someone is going to call me to verify my application! But all was well taken cared of; she asked about my blog and what kinda ads im going to include on it. The conversation wasnt really that long but it was a good one. She ended up saying she's going to confirm my registration and accurately enough, after like few moments, there it was. . . My ClickBooth registration.
Whats my Take on ClickBooth?
Well, after i signed in, the interface was simple and user friendly. The offers are right before your eyes. Ive seen $1.25 as the lowest price per click and some offers as high as $36 per lead! Now, how does that sound? I browsed over the site and found it very comprehensive as it is professional. If i would do good on ClickBooth, I'd definitely stick with this one as my personal choice.
Starting from now, youll be seeing ads from them, the one very useful to every one is the work from home opportunity. Look for the ad around. ;)
Ive selected only what i deem as important to each of us to benefit whether in cash or in kind. Want to try your luck with the XboX 360? Go ahead try it. You might just find yourself playing your hearts out.
If you want to give ClickBooth a try, click here as i highly recommend this ad program to everyone.

It has Just been over a week ago since i posted my first post. I remember saying "i dont know where im heading". I also posted about how to increase blog traffic part 1 (part 2 is upcoming. . .) Now this is the result of that part 1.
A week ago, i was averaging a maximum of 6-10 visitors per day. After unrelenting hours of reading, learning, asking questions, submitting to blog directories, making friends with bloggers, here's what's the result of all these.
According to Sitemeter, i am averaging 20 visits and 25 page views a day. And for the past few days since i installed sitemeter, my blog has been endowed with 131 visits with 2:30 seconds per visit on the average. Turning out attention to the world map, surprisingly enough, ive been having alot of visitors from the USA aside from my hometown of the Philippines. Once in a while, i get visitors from usual internet users as Canada, UK, Russia and even more surprising is that, ive got quite a few from far flung areas as ROmania, Kenya and Jamaica. Well, thats a good thing for me. That would only mean that i have to use English in everything i do in here to cater to everyone. As i used to tell you guys on my Weekly FreeBie Post, "In kiRbitz, every reader is important".
Some updates, just a while ago, i added my site to yet another blog directories its called thevital. I promptly received my confirmation email telling me that my blog has been accepted already. Add your website/blog is you havent submitted to them yet.
Here are some of the things i plan to do in the coming days:
- Find more ad providers to target to my readers. (ive been doing well with affiliatebot. Try using them too. Its very easy to use as i highly recommend them.
- Continue to have more Blogging friends and continue to have more exchange links. If you want to have a link exchange with me, you are most welcome. Just comment on thios post if you want one.
- Write an article at assocoiatedcontent or ezineArticles and hopefully my article will be accepted. Do watch out for that one. ;)
- Continue to exchange Technorati Faves, Diggs and Stumble. If you want to exchange, again, please feel free comment on this post and expect a reply comment on your blog from me. ;)
- Have a Contest. Yes, Im planning to have a contest. But its still under brain-storming. Im still in the process of molding it but do watch out for this one.

I was browsing on technorati earlier and started to notice on my blog reactions the title of my most recent post about my week 1 earnings. It was from PinoyBlogMachine and then, that was one of those times when a lightbulb flashes above your head "twing!". My Post Got Featured on PinoyBlogMachine! As i continued to think about it, i had train of thoughts spinning on my mind. Traffic, Visitors, Traffic, Readers, traffic, more clicks, traffic, more friends , and. . . well, you know whats next. . .hehe
Read my post here.
Kidding aside, i was really delighted to find this out. Not only will this get my blog more visitors, but it will be known to more people around the blogsphere and on the internet in general. As i have said in my previous post, i will try hard to help people earn on the internet; this being said, i need as much eyeballs on my blog as possible. This, i hope is one of them. . .

Can anyone make money asking for Alms on the internet?
Posted by NurseJake Labels: donation buttons, Earn, moneyThis is the question that we have to address in today's post.
Im sure alot of you have seen a donation buttons in some of the blogs that have been existing for quite sometime and have enormous traffic already. You normally see them on wuite a nuber of locations on a blog. Some would put it on the very noticeable area on blog either on the left or right upper quadrant of the page, some would put it after each and every post and some, just poout it in texlinks asking.
Personally, i dont think anyone would give someone money in an instant just like that. Not unless. . .
- They earn from the information the blogger gave them
- They have taken something very important to them
- They owe the blogger. - this one im not so sure about.
As a matter of opinion, if i have earned from the information the blogger gave me, it would take me some time to finally decide if i am to give him his 'tip' for the info.
There are, however, some individuals who pulled it off. Take note of the likes of John Chow (enough said) and Jason Krottke.
His story is that in the early part of 2005 he decided to quit his employment to take up being a professional blogger for one year.
His blog doesn't offer any form of service or product, and there is no advertising. His income, I'm told, is (or at least was) purely from donations. In February of 2006 Jason revealed that roughly 1450 'micropatrons' had donated over US$39,900 over the course of his one year experiment of being a full time blogger.
In this case Jason already had a good following and donations were to become a micropatron. He also had that relationship established with his readers.
The Verdict:
Having donation buttons is effective if used at an appropriate time and an appropriate audience. You might ask should i try it? If i ever want to have one on my blog, ill make sure every penny donated is worth while. So, not in the near future. ;)

It has been a week since my first post. And so far, im still in a bottomless pit. Ive heard pinging can increase your popularity rating by telling the world that you have a new activity in your blog. It's sort of saying that you are still alive and kicking. Well, ive decided to try this one out. I bookmarked 2 automatic ping sites namely pingomatic and autopinger.
Whats great about this sites is that they submit pings to quite a number of sites like technorati, feedster, blogdigger and blogster. Some of them sound so foriegn to me that id rather knot know about them. Technically, its very easy to use. Just put in the URL of your blog or site then check the boxes you want to ping. ( i checked everything ) and thats it!
If youre not so sure about pinging. . .
"Pinging is a service that pings or notifies a number of services that keep track of weblogs and publish them. By pinging, you let the services know that your blog has been updated and hence, they crawl and index your site, publishing your blog contents, thus increasing your blog's popularity."
Will this action make my blog mmore popular? Will it yield more visitors? Again. . . Only time will tell. But im willing to take my risks. Im actually ready to fall several times because im still starting with this blogging thing. As the dwayne wade commercial goes,
Fall down nine times, Stand up ten.
What do you think? let me know whats on your mind by dropping a line in my comments.

After browsing quite a few websites, reading a gazillion blogs, taking advises from experts and wander around the blogogsphere, i decided to add my blog into something that has been existing for a very long time already. So long that i might even be the last person in the blogosphere to add myself into. (im exaggerating) This is in realation to my post about getting more traffic.
I Joined Digg!
Digg is a social site that was started last 2004 as an experimental site where users submit their articles to. Once you submit, your article would appear on their "upcoming stories" along with alot more articles waiting to get noticed. The idea is to make the readers "digg" your story by clicking the digg button just before each article. If your story gets dugg for alot of times, your story would appear on their frontpage which would even get you more notices, more readers and even more diggs!
Heres the catch for your traffic:
Every article you submit to digg has a link back to your blog or site. If readers are enticed with what you wrote, they would visit your site and maybe browse a little bit, click some ads a little bit, subscribe with your own feeds. who knows? This is what i call "Quality digg traffic".
Do you have a digg article?
Let me know about it and ill give you a digg after you have registered and submitted an article. Its just an incentive for stopping by my blog. Im trying to project a "helping hand attitude" in each of my posts and it starts here. I also submitted a number of articles already so if you like them, do digg them for me.

MyLot Vs Yahoo Answers
Posted by NurseJake Labels: Earning from myLot., increase traffic, Mylot, Yahoo answers
For sometime now, in my ramblings and wanderings on how to increase traffic and earn money on the internet, I always come across the name Mylot. I have always been very curious about this because majority of the money-making blogs that i found had a monthly earning from this site. Though it wasnt in thousands, (nor was it in hundreds btw) i think it's a great site to jump-start your earnings slowly but surely.
Here are some of the Things i like about Mylot.
- You earn Money from Mylot! Participate in an existing discussion and earn 1 cent. Participate and enhance your reply with photos or videos, thats another cent. Or better yet, start a new interesting discussion and the posibility of earning more money is beyond what you would expect. This is why mylot earns slowly but surely.
- MyLot is more like a social site like myspace of friendster but is more focused in interaction and discussions thus making the users feel more comfortable. Yahoo Answers dont have this feel. Everything is uptight.
- Compared to Yahoo! Answers, it is much less strict. You can add your opinions and thoughs without any inhibitions.
- Mylot is a great way to increase traffic to your site. Well, youre starting a discussion, why not make a discussion that would benefit your blog or site. Like for mine, i startign a discussion about ways of increasing traffic to blogs. And sure enough, everybody has an idea about it and they just cant wait to earn.
- Mylot makes interaction between members very easy. With myLot, interaction is way better that yahoo answers. You can message someone, you can communicate easier with the enhanced user-interface and ease of use.
After all of this has been said, i would really recommend Mylot to everyone especially those first time earners and those who needs additional earnings.
Join MyLot.
Happy Earning!

Not a very good day.
Posted by NurseJake Labels: "dissapointing day", affiliate bot, associated content, blogcatalog, slashmysearch"As far as my blog is concerned, today wasnt exactly a day to be happy about."
First of all, i started my day at around 5:30am which is my normal daily routine especially if i have classes.(As a nursing student, its more like EVERYDAY!) I checked on my blog and i was delighted to see that on my second day, i got 36 blog total views and 25 page views. This was according to bumpzee. And i said to myself, "wow, im doing great!" Well, this made my day thinking that the same result would happen today. Not exactly.
After coming home at around 12mn, (dont get surprised now. It was the college's general assembly and i had dinner with my girlfriend.) It just broke my heart when i saw this report both from bumpzee and sitemeter : blog total: 6, Page views : 4. :(
This wasnt what i was expecting at all! With this, i remembered the words of my former jesuit teacher, basketball team-mate and advisor: "Failures are made to make you grow stronger. Live with it." Enough said, i would just look at the bright side of life. After all, in blogging, nothing is for certain. Everything in this world is uncertain as a matter of fact as what i metioned on my previous post. I guess i just have to call it a day and move on.
Here are some of the things i worked on yesterday:
- I added my blog as an affiliate of affiliatebot. From now on, youll see ads from them. I added the dating sites since they are approved immediately after you apply. Join a dating site.
- I made slashMySearch as my homepage and use it as my search engine. Guess what? I earned $0.025 without doing nothing at all! I never even used opened a search today. Now, that's what you call easy money. Its just a small amount, bout only time will tell. Join SlashMySearch.
- I listed myself on associatedcontent and im planning to write my first article if i have time. Hopefully by tomorow. I know a blogger who gets his major revenue from this site. He earns $50-$150 a month just by writing good and original articles. Join Associatedcontent.
- Added my blog to blogcatalog.
Well, i guess i whould call it a day now. I hope the things i did would be of my benefit in the coming days and weeks.
"Be strong and move on!" - This is my motto for today.
goodbye for now. . . hear from you soon!

My very first earning online -- $.25 from squidoo!
Posted by NurseJake Labels: "get more traffic", blog, earnings, squidooNow hold on to your hats. . . This is going pretty well.
I just made my very first online money. $.25 from squidoo!
What is Squidoo?
Sometime back, i heard about squidoo lenses and i was curious enough to make my own lens (a page that is referred as "lens" on squiodoo). The site is more like myspace, friendster combined with blogger or wordpress as i would describe it.
What sets squidoo different from others?
The site is user-friendly and easy to use. Everything is within a particular arrangement, so you dont have to do much of tweaking and designing (which is perfect for novice blogger like me). It all boils down to the content of your lens.
How do i earn with squidoo?
Earning is made by advertising fees that squidoo applies to each of your lens. If someone clicks on those ads, youll get a cut from them. ( great huh?!) This is I think how i got my $.25 And that's not it. For even bigger chances of earning, squidoo is affiliated with e-bay, amazon, cafepress and hundreds of sellers that you could add in your lens. You just have to pick which products you want to add in your lenses. And if someone makes a purchase through your lens, you'll get a bigger cut!
Furthermore, squidoo is a charity-oriented site. You can either choose to give your earnings to your charity of choice, (which leisure lens-makers do) or take it into percentages. 60-40 or 50-50. . . your choice. I made my lens 60-40. 60 for me.hehe
What kirby thinks about Squidoo.
I think squidoo is an opportunity to increase traffic to your blog. It serves as an outlet of your blog since you can link your blog from the lenses you make. Promote your lenses, and not only will you earn from the lenses but in the process, increasing traffic to your blog which would mean even more monetary earnings.
And if youre really serious about making money from squidoo, you may want to make alot of lenses. And im talking about 20 or mmore lenses. I even know somoeone who makes $3 per lens a month and he has 18 lenses. Imagine this working for you. What makes it special is that, lenses are almost "maintenance free". As long as you got traffic, you dont have to more about alot of things.

"just being a Filipino for Others"
My first step to have traffic on my blog.
Posted by NurseJake Labels: blog, directories, increase trafficIn addition to my previous post, i made something that would hopefully increase my traffic to this blog. After all, this is the essence of blogging that if you take this out, your blog would just be a piece of information existing on the web like a worthless piece of sand in a dessert. (Caffiene really makes me say odd things. lol )
On my clock, its already 10:17pm. Since this morning, ive been adding my blog to numerous blog directories which you can see on the bottom of the page. Well, i realized one thing after my first day, blogging aint just a walk in the park, its a full-time effort.
Todays, work actually brought me to a certain dilemma. What category should I add my blog to? Im torn between financial and personal blog. I just cant decide which is which so i used financial on other blog directories, and personal on the majority of them.
Another problem i encountered was when i was adding banners to blog directories. Each time I add, the blog directories would ask for a specific banner size so its a hard work i tell you. Thankfully, i got 2 applications i use to edit and resize and design banners. I use bannermaker pro and green box logo maker.
Im not very sure if i can benefit with what i did today. I tell you, its worth a try since alot of people recommend it. And if not, well, maybe i just have to retire to the notion that, i gained experience today. After all, blogging aint 100% certainty. Its not certain at all, as a matter of fact.
If you have any suggestions, questions or anything at all, please dont hesitate to ask me and post comments about it.
Until tommorow, Good night for now! (my hands are all tired and weak) hehe
These are some of the directories i signed up my blog for. Anything you missed out? Feel free to click anything and vote for my blog on your way there.

"just being a Filipino for Others"

Okay. . now, i think im getting very anxious to start my blog.
Just a while ago, i added Bidvertiser ad on my blog. You can see it just above the posts. I signed up as a publisher and thought i would try my luck on this one. I chose bidvertise over adsense for some upright practical reasons.
- Bidvertiser has a much lower minimum payout compared to adsense. You can claim your earnings from as low as $10, compared to $100 of adsense.
- Bidvertiser ads can be customized according to your own preferrence.
- You can choose the ads that would appear on your blog. And you are even given the chance to block some ads that you might not like. (for some peculiar reason, some people use this).
- Bidvertiser is perfect for a starting blogger like me.
- Bidvertiser is not as well-established as adsense. Though alot of people already use it, its still not good for permanency. I suggest use it for sometime, and if you are not satisfied with it, change to another ad content provider. Coz in a world where we live right now, you just cant trust no one.
- Bidvertiser is not as user friendly as adsense. Some of its features are lacking, like no return button, so if you miss out on tweaking your ads, you have to do it all over again by opening another window which is quite a hassle.
After all of this, I would still recomment bidvertiser or any other low-minimun paying ad content providers for starting bloggers like me.

After an hour of tweaking, setting up, finding my way around the blogosphere. . .
much to my surprise, Anito Kid (whom i mentioned in my first post.) and Novice blogger commented about my blog. The two well-established bloggers commented.
Well, to both of you, thank you very much for taking some time commenting on my blog.
Ill be seeing you.
"Just being a Filipino for Others"
Im just your average pinoy guy. Im a nursing student in a unversity who topped '06 Philippine board exam(that means im not sure if i have enough time for this.) , I like to play basketball, hang out with friends at times, but generally a homebuddy, i love adobo, im known to be notoriously late in gatherings(lol).
Since weve been connected to the internet a few months back, i figured alot of people really make good money out of weblogs. Some even consider it as their full-time job. I know a number of people: anito kid and culture shock.
Can a regular guy like me earn from the internet?
Can any pinoy really earn money from the internet without any cost?
These are the two questions that urged me to make this blog. Honestly, with limited background on blogging, internet, SEO and other jargonic lines, i dont know where im heading. I guess we just have to find out.
But well, im off to my way! Wala bang shot dyan?! One for the road?? haha!
It is my earnest hope that other pinoy bloggers, gurus and other people would help me on this one.
My journey embarks on!

I consider it my full-time passion, kabayan! Welcome to the blogging world!
